Documentary Films Shot Entirely on Motorola V710 Camera Phones

Innovative cinematographer Edward Lachman puts Motorola V710 mobile phones to good creative use to film Street Stories,, 5 short documentary films focusing on how mobile phones have become an integral part of modern day life.

The five subjects of Street Stories all recount a personal experience where the mobile phone greatly impacted their lives. Telling stories of close calls and salvaged romances, the five shorts are entitled Bear, Dog, Fiona, Taxi and Wrong Number.

According to Lachman, "the documentary is a credit to the world of the arts as well as the world of technology, exposing our culture's deep connection to mobile phones through the filming technique and the stories told."

Using the "Polaroid mosaic" visual style, where a single individual is made up of multiple shots in a fixed pose, Lachman captures viewers' attention with unique visuals and humorous stories. He achieves this mosaic through the simultaneous use of six V710 phones rigged in a special multi-camera setup.

The Motorola V710 has a megapixel camera, video capture and playback, Bluetooth technology and large color screen.
