Sandisk Doubles Storage Capacity for Mobile Phone Storage Cards
Many mobile phones now require additional storage capacity to accomodate digital music, photos, and other space-grabbing media.
Today, SanDisk Corporation announced that it is doubling the current maximum capacities of its popular SanDisk miniSD and SanDisk RS-MMC cards to 512 MB. These storage cards are used in a growing number of mobile phones with multimedia capabilities such as digital cameras, music players and video recording and playback.
The SanDisk miniSD card includes an adapter allowing it to be used in any of the existing SD card devices and the SanDisk RS-MMC card includes a mechanical extender so that it can be used in any full-sized MultiMediaCard slot as well as SD host devices that support the MultiMediaCard.
